Emergency Information and Contacts (Last Updated April, 2009)

What to do if you smell a natural gas odor or suspect a leak:
1. Alert everyone, and leave the building immediately.
2. Do not use phones, turn any electric switches on/off or use other electrically operated devices that could cause a spark.
3. Do not smoke. Avoid all open flames.
4. Use a neighbor’s phone. Call 911, then call PSE Customer Service 24 hours a day at 1-888-225-5773.
5. Do not attempt to put out fires if a natural gas leak ignites.

If someone receives an electrical shock:
1. Stay clear. Do not touch the victim or the source of the electricity while current is flowing. Do not attempt to free the victim with a broom or other object as the object could conduct electricity.
2. Call 911 for immediate medical treatment.
3. Turn off all power if this can be done quickly and safely. If the source of the current is a fallen power line, stay at least 30 feet away, and call PSE Customer Service at 1-888-225-5773. Once the victim is no longer in contact with electrical current, determine what first aid steps to take.
4. If the victim is not breathing, give mouth-to-mouth resuscitation and perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). If you are not qualified to perform CPR, find someone who is.
5. If the victim’s face is pale, raise the feet; if the face is red, keep the head raised.
6. Cover the victim with a blanket and keep them warm until help arrives.

If the power goes out in your entire building or power lines fall close to your building:

1. Call PSE Customer Service at 1-888-225-5773

2. Follow that phone call with an e-mail to Cat Caywood at cat@cwdgroup.com. Her e-mails are forwarded to her cell phone, so she will get the message quickly.

3. If you are unable to reach either CWD On-Call Manager or Cat Caywood, you may call:
